ARTICLE II

APPROVAL OF SCHOOL BUDGET
PASSED
2,271 vote YES, 1,085 vote NO

Shall the voters of the City of South Burlington School District approve the School Board to expend Forty Nine Million Six Hundred Eighty Six Thousand One Hundred Sixty Six and 00/100 Dollars ($49,686,166.00), which is the amount the School Board has determined to be necessary for the ensuing fiscal year? It is estimated that this proposed budget, if approved, will result in education spending of $14,977.68 per equalized pupil. This projected spending per equalized pupil is 2.75% lower than spending for the current year.

ARTICLE III

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND ISSUE
PASSED
2,027 vote YES, 1,274 vote NO

The City of South Burlington School District Board of School Directors has determined that public interest or necessity demand incurring bonded indebtedness to finance capital improvements, renovations and additions to the schools and facilities of the South Burlington School District at an estimated total project cost of Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($950,500.00). It is expected that 0% of the project costs will be eligible for state school construction aid because there is presently a moratorium on state school construction aid funding. Therefore, the South Burlington School District will be responsible for 100% of the project costs ($950,500.00) which the Board recommends be funded through the issuance of up to Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($950,500.00) of general obligation bonds. So:

Shall general obligation bonds of the South Burlington School District in an amount not to exceed Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($950,500.00) be issued for the purpose of financing the final design, permitting, site work and the construction of renovations, capital improvements and additions to the schools and facilities of the South Burlington School District together with related eligible project expenses?
