South Burlington 2, Colchester 0: South Burlington scored twice in the first half to earn a win over visiting Colchester under the lights on Monday night.
Bella Nevin and Maddie Liebegott each had a goal for the Wolves, who move to 7-4. Hannah Murray made three saves in goal to earn the shutout.
Olivia Moore stopped three shots for Colchester, who fell to 8-3.
Nevin also scored for the Wolves on Friday night, helping the hosts to a 3-1 win over Milton. Nevin had two tallies for South Burlington, while Katie O’Hara added a goal.
Murray made eight saves in goal to help preserve the win.
South Burlington 8, Middlebury 0: The South Burlington field hockey team made it eight wins in a row with an 8-0 victory over Middlebury on Monday.
Lilly Truchon had three goals to pace the Wolves, who have not lost since the second game of the season and hold a 9-1 record.
Lindsey Booth added a pair of tallies, Colby Casey also scored twice and Odessa O’Brien added a goal. Ainsley Hultgren stopped five shots to earn the shutout.
The Wolves also earned a shutout win over Champlain Valley on Saturday, topping the Redhawks 4-0.
Kate Hall had one goal and two assists for South Burlington, while Danielle Sleiman and Ana Stitch each tallied once. Hultgren made one stop to earn the shutout.
Mount Mansfield 28, Burlington-South Burlington 22: Burlington-South Burlington scored 16 points in the second half but their comeback fell short in a 28-22 loss to Mount Mansfield on Saturday.
Duncan MacDonald hit Tenzin Kelley with two touchdown passes in the second — one from 20 yards and another from 73 yards — to close the deficit to six points, but the Cougars forced two turnovers in the fourth quarter to snuff out the comeback bid.
Manny Dodson returned an interception for a touchdown to open the scoring for the SeaWolves, who fall to 4-2 with the loss.
Lyndon 3, South Burlington 0: The South Burlington boys volleyball team fell to 2-5 with a loss to Lyndon on Friday.
The Vikings took the first set 25-19, then the second 25-12 and wrapped up the win with a 25-22 win in the third set.
The South Burlington boys golf team finished with a team score of 351 in Wednesday’s Division I state tournament qualifier to book their spot in the state championship match.
Ethan Brock had to the top score for the Wolves with an 85, Roan O’Leary had an 87, Jagr Rinehart an 88 and Mason Klesch finished with a 91.
The Wolves played in the D-I final on Wednesday at the Country Club of Vermont in Waterbury. The girls golf team traveled to Ralph Myhre Country Club in Middlebury on Tuesday for the D-I girls final. Results were unavailable at press time.
