The Wolves’ offense was strong last week for the boys lacrosse team. On Wednesday, April 25, the Wolves traveled to Rutland and won 16-2. Three goals were scored by Nick Liscinsky (two assists), Rees Baker (assist) and Cale DuBrul (assist). Ryan Hockenbury had 14 saves in the win.
On Saturday, April 28, it took a second half rally for South Burlington to defeat Burr and Burton at home. The final score was 13-7. DuBrol scored five goals and racked up an assist, while Calvin Hultgren had four goals and two assists. Liscinsky tallied a pair of goals and three assists and Ryan Hockenbury finished the game with nine saves. They host BFA-St. Albans on May 3.
Sam Premsagar earned a win against Burlington after one inning of relief pitching for the Wolves in game one of an April 24 home double-header against Burlington. Nolan Antonicci (2-3, run), John Thibeault (2-4) and Chance O’Connor (3-3) helped lead the Wolves’ offense to the 5-3 victory.
In game two, the South Burlington offense got hot with 15 hits and won 11-2. Brendan Precourt (3-4), Ryan Sargent (2 hits, 3 RBIs) had big offensive games while Nolan Antonicci, John Thibeault and Ethan Klesch (double) also found success from the plate. Thibeault earned the win after six innings of pitching. The team’s next game is at home against St. Johnsbury on May 3.
South Burlington’s offense was unstoppable during a double header at SBHS on April 24 against Burlington. Katie Cheung’s eight RBIs and three hits led the way while Shea O’Connor (four hits), Taylor Arnold (four RBIs) and Brianna Belisle (three RBIs) also came up big in the 24-3 win.
The second game was a repeat of game one as the Wolves cruised to a 25-6 victory. Arnold (four RBIs), Cheung (three RBIs), and Sarah Brown (three RBIs) led the way on offense. They will host St.Johnsbury on May 3.
