Arisia Huff, a sophomore at South Burlington High School (SBHS), won the title of Miss Congeniality at the 2018 Miss Vermont Teen USA competition held mid-November at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe. Along with the honor, Huff was awarded a $3,000 college scholarship.
A varsity cheerleader at SBHS, Huff has been competing in cheer events since sixth grade at Frederick H. Tuttle Middle School. She is an active member of College Street Congregational Church and has participated in multiple mission trips working with homeless, refugees, and low income people. In addition, Huff frequently volunteers to work South Burlington Rotary events with her mother, Wendy Farrell.
Alexandra Diehl, from Saint Albans, won the title of 2018 Miss Vermont Teen USA. Contestants were judged in three equal categories consisting of Personal Interview, Active Wear, and Evening Gown.
Next year, Huff, an eighth generation Vermonter, plans to again enter the competition in hopes of representing Vermont in the 2019 Miss Teen USA competition.
