Neat, with a Twist Shows and Events presents “Coming Home”, an evening of music inspired and shaped by folk, country, gospel, and early rock and roll, on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 and 9 p.m.

Joining the cast of nine is Jayden Choquette of South Burlington. Earlier this year, Choquette played the role of Freddy Benson in the Lyric Theatre Company’s “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” and was featured in “Steppin’ Out,” an evening of jazz by Neat, with a Twist.

“Neat, with a Twist is back with a new cast, a new musical theme, and a new sensorial collaboration,” said artistic director Erin Evarts. “Performers will sing deeply personal songs by artists including Pete Seeger, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Carole King, John Denver, and Joni Mitchell.”

Evarts noted that the sensorial element, to “round out the ‘homey’ emotional experience for audience goers,” is a collaboration with local scent experts, Alice and The Magician.

“Scent sets the tone and affects mood, so the opportunity to provide scent landscaping for a live performance is awesome,” said Aaron Wisniewski, co-founder of Alice and the Magician.

Coming Home’s music director is Ethan Tischler, who will lead four musicians as well as the cast as they play eight different instruments including traditional folk banjo, mandolin, and fiddle.

The two shows will be performed at ArtsRiot, 400 Pine Street, Burlington. The doors open an hour prior to showtime. For more information and tickets, visit www.artsriot.com.
